Administration Grant #59 in the amount of $6,521,022 pursuant to the
federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act for
economic relief to eligible U.S. airports affected by the prevention of,
preparation for, and response to the COVID-19 pandemic; and declaring an
emergency.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Grant #59 (3-48-0051-059-2020) in the amount of $6,521,022 from the Federal
Aviation Administration, awarded pursuant to the federal CARES Act for economic relief to
eligible U.S. airports affected by the prevention of. preparation for, and response to the COVID-
19 pandemic, is accepted and appropriated in the No. 3020 Airport Capital Improvement
Program Grants Fund and the No. 1055 Airport Grants Fund in the following respective
amounts: $4,521 ,022 and $2,000,000.
SECTION 2. The FY2019-2020 Operating and Capital Budget, adopted by Ordinance No.
031870, is amended by increasing revenues and expenditures in the amount of $6,521,022.
SECTION 3. Upon the written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached.
the City Council: (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action
necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs; and (2) suspends the City
Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings
so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure
on this the 1 c \ day of May, 2020.

requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular
meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on
the date it is introduced or at the present meeting of the City Council.
