8. Motion approving an amended contract with the Corpus Christi Area
Convention and Visitors Bureau for promotion and advertising services for a
term ending March 31, 1993. The annual funding level would be $1.5 million
for fiscal years 1989 - 90 and 1990- 91, and 3.5 cents of the 7 cent hotel
occupancy tax up to a maximum of $1.5 million for each fiscal year
thereafter, subject to annual appropriations by the City Council. Members
of the Bureau board of directors would be appointed by the City Council.
