BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to submit a grant application in the amount of $157,601 to the US Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance for funding eligible under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program FY 20 Local Solicitation with funds to be distributed to the City of Corpus Christi in the amount of $78,801 and Nueces County in the amount of $78,800 under the Interlocal Agreement should the grant be awarded. Grant funds will be used for the enhancement of law enforcement efforts by the Corpus Christi Police Department and Nueces County. SECTION 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Corpus Christi and Nueces County to establish terms to distribute $78,800 of the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant (JAG) Program FY 2020 Local Solicitation to Nueces County. 0321.78 SCANNED The above resolution was passed by the following vote: Joe McComb Roland Barrera Rudy Garza Paulette M.
