AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT
A GRANT APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,293,000.00, TO THE
U. S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, COPS OFFICE, FOR THE COPS
HIRING RECOVERY PROGRAM TO HIRE TEN ADDITIONAL POLICE
OFFICERS WITHIN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND TO EXECUTE
ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to submit a grant
application in the amount of $2,293,000.00, to the U. S. Department of Justice, COPS
Office, for the COPS Hiring Recovery Program to hire ten additional police officers
within the Police Department and to execute all related documents.
