Recreation Department budget for additional Bayshore Parks Enforcement Officers
with a one-time purchase of equipment and the appropriation of $432,956 from the
State Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund for costs associated with increasing staff
presence and security in the Bayshore parks.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The Corpus Christi FY2020-2021 Operating and Capital Budget adopted by
Ordinance No. 032203 is amended to increase the number of full-time employees in the
State Hotel Occupancy Fund for Parks and Recreation Department by six for Bayshore
parks staff.
SECTION 2. That $432,956 is appropriated in the State Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund for
the period of June 2021 through September 2021 for costs associated with increased
Bayshore Parks personnel and security including uniform, vehicle and technology costs.
SECTION 3. The Corpus Christi City Council finds that the expenditures are allowable
uses pursuant to Texas Tax Code Section 156.2512.
