Governor's Homeland Security Grants Division for overtime and retirement for
sworn police officers supporting the FY 2022 Local Border Security Program; and
appropriating $59,000.00 in the Police Grants Fund.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute all documents
necessary to accept a grant in the amount of $59,000 from the Office of the Governor's
Homeland Security Grants Division (HSGD) for funding eligible under the FY 2022 Local
Border Security Program (LBSP) grant.
SECTION 2. The City of Corpus Christi designates the City Manager or designee as the
grantee's authorized official. The authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept,
reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
SECTION 3. That $59,000 is appropriated in the No 1061 Police Grants Fund from the
HSGD for eligible overtime and operational costs.
SECTION 4. In the event of the loss or misuse of the HSGD funds, the City of Corpus
Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the HSGD in full.
