of Texas for salaries and benefits of three full-time employees and supplies,
training, mileage reimbursements under the Victims of Crime Act, with $4,320.00
for in-kind services.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council authorizes submission of the grant application to the State
of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division in the amount of $161,606.73
for funding available under the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Fund for the Police
Department's Family Violence Unit to continue the Victim Outreach Program.
SECTION 2. The City Council commits to provide for the applicable $4,320.00 in-kind
services.
SECTION 3. The City Manager or the City Manager's designee may apply for, accept,
reject, alter, or terminate the grant.
SECTION 4. In the event of the loss or misuse of these Office of the Governor funds, the
City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the State of Texas, Office
of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division in full.
