Public Safety Office - Homeland Security Grants Division for the State
Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSP) to prevent terrorism and other
catastrophic events for various functions of public safety, such as bomb
squad, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, fire, and airport in an
amount of $481,580.42
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council authorizes submission of grant applications to the Public Safety
Office for the following projects:
1. Airport Detection Equipment
2. Bomb Squad Enhancement
3. Incident Command Training Program
4. Airport Medical Response Enhancement
5. Hazmat Response Enhancement
6. CCPD SWAT Enhancement
7. Bomb Squad Disposal Trailer
8. CCPD SWAT Detection
SECTION 2. The City of Corpus Christi designates the City Manager, or designee, as the
grantee's authorized official. The authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept,
reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
