$75,000.00 from the State of Texas under the Body-Worn Camera
Grant Program with a City cash match of$25,000.00 for the purchase
of replacement Panasonic body cameras and related equipment for
the Police Department; and appropriating $75,000.00 in the Police
Grants Fund.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute all documents
necessary to accept a grant from the State of Texas under the Body-Worn Camera Grant
Program in the amount of$75,000 to equip peace officers with body-worn cameras.
SECTION 2. That $75,000 from the State of Texas Criminal Justice Division is
appropriated in the No. 1061 Police Grants Fund.
SECTION 3. The City will provide a cash match in the amount of$25,000.
SECTION 4. In the event of the loss or misuse of these funds, the City of Corpus Christi
assures that the funds will be returned to the State of Texas, Office of the Governor,
Criminal Justice Division in full.
