contract for the STD/HIV Prevention Services Grant from the Texas Department of State
Health Services appropriating $269,815.00 into the Health Grants Fund to provide STD/HIV
prevention and control services; and amending the operating budget.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 of
Contract No. HHS000288900008 (the "Contract") under the STD/Prevention Services Grant
Program with the Department of State Health Services ("DSHS"), which increases grants funds
to $269,815.00 for the period September 1, 2022, through August 31, 2023, to provide HIV
surveillance and control services.
SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $269,815.00 are appropriated from the grant to the Health
Grants Fund No. 1066 to be used to provide for personnel costs, supplies, and other expenses to
offer services and associated activities to prevent and control HIV, Syphilis, Chlamydia, and
Gonorrhea within the jurisdiction of the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District.
SECTION 3. The FY2021-22 Operating Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 032539 is amended
to increase revenues and expenditures by $269,815.00.
That the foregoing ordinance was read for the first time and passed to its second reading on this
