Department of State Health to provide continued emergency preparedness
laboratory services for the contract period July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023;
appropriating $205,548.00 into the Health Grants Fund; and amending the
operating budget.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute Amendment No. 6
of Contract No. 537-18-0147-00001 (the "Contract") under the Laboratory Response
Network ("LRN") — Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant program that provides
an increase of $205,548.00 and the appropriation of said funds for continued emergency
preparedness laboratory services for the contract period July 1, 2022, through June 30,
2023.
SECTION 2. The amendment will result in an increase in funding of $205,548.00 for the
period July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023, for a total increased contract amount of
$1,346,884.00 for said period, with said amounts appropriated in No. 1066 Health Grant
Fund.
SECTION 3. Funds in the amount of $205,548.00 are appropriated from the Contract to
Health Grants Fund No. 1066 to pay for personnel costs, supplies, and other expenses;
to provide a Public Health Emergency Preparedness Laboratory Response Program to
maintain and support an action plan to respond to an act of bioterrorism and biological
threats in the community.
SECTION 4. The FY2021-22 Operating Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 032539 is
amended to increase revenues and expenditures by $205,548.00.
