HomeMy WebLinkAbout032870 RES - 09/20/2022Resolution authorizing a five-year agreement for the purchase of 15 replacement Lifepak cardiac monitors and two new Lifepak cardiac monitors, software licenses, and preventative maintenance services with Stryker Sales, LLC., of Kalamazoo, Michigan, for the Corpus Christi Fire Department in an amount not to exceed $1,344,900.00, with FY 2022 funding from the General Fund. WHEREAS, the Fire Department needs prompt and reliable life-saving equipment to deliver emergency services; WHEREAS, State law provides that such procurements, as outlined above, are subject to statutory procurement requirements, including competitive bids, unless an exemption applies; and WHEREAS, there is a statutory exemption for this procurement in Local Government Code, Section 252.022(a)(2), as this purchase is necessary to preserve or protect the public health or safety of the City's residents. Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas: Section 1. The City Council specifically finds that the foregoing statements included in the preamble of this resolution are true and correct and adopts such findings for all intents and purposes related to the authorization of this procurement. Section 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute all documents necessary to secure a five-year purchase agreement for access to 17 cardiac monitors, software licenses, and preventative maintenance services for the Fire Department with Stryker Sales, LLC, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, in an amount not to exceed $1,344,900.00, with FY 2022 funding from the General Fund.
