HomeMy WebLinkAbout032905 ORD - 11/01/2022Ordinance accepting a grant in the amount of $94,500.00 from the State of Texas Governor's Homeland Security Grants Division for overtime and retirement for Corpus Christi Police Department sworn officers supporting law enforcement activities that help to reduce human -trafficking, drug smuggling, and other organized crime; and appropriating $94,500.00 in the Police Grants Fund. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute all documents necessary to accept a grant in the amount of $94,500.00 from the Office of the Governor's Homeland Security Grants Division (HSGD) for funding eligible under the FY2023 Local Border Security Program (LBSP) grant. SECTION 2. The City of Corpus Christi designates the City Manager or designee as the grantee's authorized official. The authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency. SECTION 3. That $94,500.00 is appropriated in the No 1061 Police Grants Fund from the HSGD for eligible overtime and operational costs. SECTION 4.
