State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division for Rifle -Resistant Body
Armor for the Police Department for the purchase of 40 additional
pieces of rifle resistant body armor; and appropriating $20,000.00 in
the Police Grants Fund.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager of designee is authorized to execute all documents
necessary to accept a grant from the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division in the
amount of $20,000.00 for the purchase of rife resistant body armor.
SECTION 2. The City of Corpus Christi designates the City Manager or designee as the
grantee's authorized official. The authorized official is given the power to apply for, accept,
reject, alter or terminate the grant on behalf of the applicant agency.
SECTION 3. That $20,00.00 is appropriated in the No 1061 Police Grants Fund
SECTION 4. In the event of the Toss or misuse of the funds, the City of Corpus Christi
assures that the funds will be returned to the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division.
