SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
A. City Secretary Rebecca Huerta to call the meeting to order.
City Secretary Rebecca Huerta called the meeting to order at 10:07 a.m.
B. Presentation of Colors followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the
United States and the Texas Flag, given by the Veterans Band Color Guard
Veterans Band Color Guard led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States
of America and to the Texas Flag.
C. Invocation to be given by Rabbi Ilan Emanuel, Congregation Beth Israel.
Rabbi Ilan Emanuel, Congregation Beth Israel, gave the invocation.
D. Swearing-in Ceremony for Mayor and City Council Members to be conducted by
The Honorable Deeanne M. Galvan, District Judge of the Nueces County Court at
Law No. 3.
The Honorable Deeanne M. Galvan, District Judge of the Nueces County Court at Law
No. 3, conducted the swearing-in ceremony for Mayor and City Council Members.
E. Incoming Mayor and Council Member Speeches
The incoming Mayor and Council Members spoke about the importance of streets, water,
public safety, human and environmental health, and public funds.
F. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Guajardo adjourned the meeting at 11:00 a.m.
