amount of $133,280.26 to the Office of the Governor Homeland
Security Grants Division for the Corpus Christi Police Department to
provide funding for overtime and retirement for four sworn officers
eligible under the FY 2024 Local Border Security Program Grant.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council authorizes submission of the grant application to the State
of Texas Office of the Governor's Homeland Security Grants Division $133,280.26 for
funding available under the Local Border Security Program Grant.
SECTION 2. The City Council designates the Chief of Police as the grantee's authorized
official. The authorized official may apply for, accept, reject, alter, or terminate the grant.
SECTION 3. In the event of the loss or misuse of these State of Texas Office of the
Governor's Homeland Security Grants Division funds, the City of Corpus Christi assures
that the funds will be returned.

below is in the Treasury to the credit of the Fund specified below, from which it is to be drawn, and has
not been appropriated for any other purpose. Future payments are subject to annual appropriation
by the City Council.
