Prevention Services Grant for $269,815.00 from the Texas Department of
State Health Services (DSHS); and appropriating $269,815.00 in the Health
Grant Fund to provide STI/HIV prevention and control services for the period
of September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute all documents
necessary to accept a grant for $269,815.00 from the Texas Department of State Health
Services for the contract period September 1, 2023, through August 31, 2024, to provide
STI/HIV prevention and control services.
SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $269,815.00 are appropriated in the Health Grants
Fund No. 1066 to be used to provide for personnel costs, supplies, and other expenses
to offer services and associated activities to prevent and control HIV, Syphilis, Chlamydia,
and Gonorrhea within the jurisdiction of the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health
District.
SECTION 3. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute any future
amendments to the Contract which extend the contract period or increase or decrease
the amount of the grant.
SECTION 4. A copy of the executed health grant contract and amendments shall be filed
in the office of the City Secretary.
