Public Notice: Persons with disabilities who plan to attend this meeting and who may
need auxiliary aids or services are requested to contact the City Secretary's office (at
361-826-3105) at least 48 hours in advance so that appropriate arrangements can be
made.

A quorum of the City Council may attend. If a quorum is present, this will be
considered an open, public meeting during the time a quorum is present. However, as
a governmental body, the City Council will not vote, order, decide, deliberate, or
otherwise take any Council action on any items discussed.
A. Ceremonial Items
1. 23-1396 a. Proclamation declaring August 26, 2023, as "Women's Equality Day".
b. Proclamation declaring the month of August 2023 as, "National
Immunization Awareness Month".
c. Commendation recognizing Valerie Perez as Team USA's World Cup
Baseball Qualifier.
d. Commendation honoring Johnny Ray Stobbs and Maverick Flores for
assisting a citizen in peril.
