HomeMy WebLinkAbout033233 RES - 12/05/2023Resolution authorizing a three-year service agreement with Siddons- Martin Emergency Group, LLC, of Houston, in an amount not to exceed $1,200,000.00 to provide parts, testing, and repair services for firefighting vehicles and equipment for the Fire Department, with FY 2024 funding of $400,000.00 from the General Fund. WHEREAS, Siddons-Martin Emergency Group provides parts, testing, and repair services for firefighting vehicles and equipment; WHEREAS, the parts and services are necessary for sustaining the reliability and dependability of the Fire Department's firefighting vehicles and equipment, essential for the protection of the public health and safety of the City's residents; WHEREAS, State law provides that such procurements, as outlined above, are subject to statutory procurement requirements, including competitive bids, unless an exception applies; and WHEREAS, there is a statutory exception for this procurement in Local Government Code, Section 252.022(a)(7)(A), as this purchase is available from only one source due to patents, copyrights, special processes, or natural monopolies; therefore, Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas: Section 1. The City Council specifically finds that the foregoing statements included in the preamble of this resolution are true and correct and adopts such findings for all intents and purposes related to the authorization of this procurement. Section 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute all documents necessary to secure a three-year service agreement with Siddons-Martin Emergency Group, LLC, to provide parts, testing, and repair services for a total amount not to exceed $1,200,000.00, with FY 2024 funding of $400,000.00 from the General Fund. Future payments are subject to annual appropriation by the City Council.
