Martin Emergency Group, LLC, of Houston, in an amount not to
exceed $1,200,000.00 to provide parts, testing, and repair services for
firefighting vehicles and equipment for the Fire Department, with FY
2024 funding of $400,000.00 from the General Fund.
WHEREAS, Siddons-Martin Emergency Group provides parts, testing, and repair
services for firefighting vehicles and equipment;
WHEREAS, the parts and services are necessary for sustaining the reliability and
dependability of the Fire Department's firefighting vehicles and equipment, essential for
the protection of the public health and safety of the City's residents;
WHEREAS, State law provides that such procurements, as outlined above, are
subject to statutory procurement requirements, including competitive bids, unless an
exception applies; and
WHEREAS, there is a statutory exception for this procurement in Local
Government Code, Section 252.022(a)(7)(A), as this purchase is available from only one
source due to patents, copyrights, special processes, or natural monopolies; therefore,
Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas:
Section 1. The City Council specifically finds that the foregoing statements included in
the preamble of this resolution are true and correct and adopts such findings for all intents
and purposes related to the authorization of this procurement.
Section 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute all documents
necessary to secure a three-year service agreement with Siddons-Martin Emergency
Group, LLC, to provide parts, testing, and repair services for a total amount not to exceed
$1,200,000.00, with FY 2024 funding of $400,000.00 from the General Fund.

I, the Director of Financial Services of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas (or his/her duly
authorized representative), hereby certify to the City Council and other appropriate officers that
the money required for the current fiscal year's portion of the contract, agreement, obligation
or expenditure described below is in the Treasury to the credit of the Fund specified below, from
which it is to be drawn, and has not been appropriated for any other purpose. Future payments
are subject to annual appropriation by the City Council.
